AgrAbility provides direct services and information to farmers and farm family members with a disability or long-term health condition who want to remain in production agriculture.
Disability Rights Pennsylvania (DRP) is a statewide, non-profit organization with a mission to advance and protect the civil rights of adults and children with disabilities. DRP works with people with disabilities, their families, and their advocates to ensure their right to live in their communities with the services they need, to receive a full and inclusive education, to live free of discrimination, abuse and neglect, and to have control and self-determination over their services. DRP works to ensure that people with disabilities have equal and unhindered access to employment, transportation, public accommodations, and government services; to enforce their rights to vocational, habilitative, post-secondary educational, health, and other services; and to protect them from abuse and neglect.
Education Law Center (ELC) has a mission to ensure access to a quality public education for all children in Pennsylvania. The organization advocates on behalf of children living in poverty, children of color, children in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, and children with disabilities. ELC has a vast resource library, including A Family Guide to Inclusive Early Learning in Pennsylvania and The Right to Special Education in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation provides specific services to help persons with disabilities prepare for, obtain, or maintain competitive employment. Assistive technology is an eligible service if the need and justification is included in the participant’s plan.
PA Client Assistance Program (CAP) provides information and advice about rehabilitation programs, helps resolve problems that may arise while seeking services from rehabilitation programs, and helps pursue administrative and legal remedies to protect the rights of individuals.
Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) supports the efforts and initiatives of the Bureau of Special Education, PA Department of Education, to build the capacity of local educational agencies to serve students who receive special education services. PaTTAN staff develops programs, provide trainings, and administers a short-term equipment loan program for educational personnel.
