Description: With scams and identity theft on the rise, learn how to protect your identity and your money. Becky MacDicken, Outreach Specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities will guide a discussion on what identity theft is, how it happens, how to prevent it, what to do if it happens to you, red flags, and other scams that are out there, especially in the era of COVID-19.

Presenters:

• Becky MacDicken, Outreach Specialist at Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities – Becky has worked in the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS) for over thirteen years with the majority of her work being financial education outreach and training. Under the new DoBS Deputate of Financial Services for Consumers and Business (FSCB), Becky is working to deliver more financial education to the disability community, state employees and incarcerated populations. Becky serves as the Department’s representative on the Governor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities and is the mother of a 16-year-old son with autism.
