The Philadelphia Bilingual Disability Resource Fairs are open to all communities. Our goal is to make these inclusive and accessible events. Our organizations recognize that Latino communities face barriers to accessing available programs, services, and resources for people with disabilities. Many times, the challenge is a language barrier, sometimes it is a failure of systems to provide awareness and education about the programs and services that are available. We recognize the extra stress and challenges in the daily lives of individuals with disabilities and the families that support them. Often, they do not have the time to spend searching for resources, and it is not clear where to start to find the help they need.

As individuals with disabilities, parents, and friends of individuals with disabilities, and professionals, we see and understand the challenges. We have joined forces to create an event for parents, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities and older adults, where they can spend the day meeting disability professionals, agencies, service providers and nonprofits and find the help they need and get access to resources they may not know existed. We invite you to join us to bridge the gap in accessing resources.

Please contact Wendy Davis, Director of Marketing and Outreach for Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation at wdavis@patf.us if you have any questions.
