Sybille Damas is the Chief Operations Officer for Congreso de Latinos Unidos, with primary responsibilities overseeing the human resources, facilities, information technology and risk management departments.
Since joining Congreso in September 2003, Sybille has held several program leadership positions and supports the organization with her program as well as her operations background. While working in programs, Sybille was a key developer of Congreso’s service delivery model, Primary Client Management (PCM), which the agency continues to use and develop to provide quality services. Starting in 2014, as the organization’s first COO, Sybille was instrumental in implementing cost cutting measures within the agency operations by saving the organization 20% in property and casualty insurance costs, created systems for efficient energy use, instituted information technology upgrades to create employee efficiency, as well as streamlining human resources processes.
Sybille has a Master’s in Social Work Administration from Temple University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s DiverseForce on Boards-Board Leadership Program, Bryn Mawr College’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute, holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from Villanova University and is a certified SHRM Professional.
Sybille enjoys the outdoors, fitness and music. She is a married mother of two girls.
