Strategic Initiatives Director
Peder Wiegner is PATF’s Strategic Initiatives Director. He is responsible for managing and monitoring PATF’s new program development, communications, and raising funds for the mission of the organization. Leveraging the organization’s successful work over the past few decades, he will support the development of new initiatives aimed at reaching more people with disabilities and older Pennsylvanians.
He brings 12 years of nonprofit sector experience in international community development, in higher education, and most recently in the Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) industry. While working in the CDFI industry to align capital with justice, Peder helped plan national conferences as well as developed and expanded projects aimed at providing access to capital and technical assistance to low-income small businesses and consumers locally and nationally.
Peder and his spouse, Anna, live in Philadelphia and enjoy birding, hiking, and cooking delicious vegan dishes. Peder is fluent in Spanish and grew up in South and Central America where he learned about and was exposed to movements that shaped his social justice perspective. He loves to travel and has been to three dozen countries and counting.
