Treasurer

As Controller at Chestnut Hill College, Mitch manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Accounting Office and Financial Affairs including cash management, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll and budget management, as well as general oversight of student billing and collections and benefits accounting and administration. He has an active role in budget preparation, grant management, and contract negotiations while identifying and implementing cost-saving measures for the College. Mitch serves as ex-officio member of Finance & Enrollment Committee of the Board of Directors as well as on Audit, Investment, and 403(b) Plan committees.

Before joining Chestnut Hill College in 2018, Mitch has held several roles in finance, audit, and technology and has extensive experience working with public, private, non-profit, and governmental entities.

Mitch was born with severe to moderate hearing loss. He is very active in the community serving on the board for the HLAA’s Pennsylvania Walk4Hearing, most recently as the Registration Chair and Co-Walk Day Organizer. The entire family is also very active in the Pennsylvania Walk4Hearing. Mitch has also been Treasurer for the Hearing Loss Association of America Pennsylvania State Office since 2012 and currently serving his fourth term as President of Glenn Rose Homeowner’s Association. Mitch is also the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at the Curtis Institute of Music. He recently served as the Treasurer of the Appalachian Assistive Technology Loan Fund (AATLF) Board and the Chair of the Finance Committee.

Mitch received his Master of Business Administration in Financial Management and a B.S. in Finance and Business Management with a minor in Information Technology, both from Rochester Institute of Technology.
