After a back injury at work, Edward faced several back issues, which worsened over time. He uses a cane, walker, and stairlifts that are in his home. Once, while trying to get into his bathtub, he fell, and his wife, Mary, came to his aid. “I heard him fall, and when I tried to help him up, I also fell — we were both hurt. After this, we knew it was time to get a modified bathtub,” Mary said.

The bathtub has handrails, a chair, and is easy for Edward to step into. Mary hopes other people who may find it difficult to get in and out of a traditional bathtub consider a walk-in bathtub for their safety and well-being.
